Nationals
For residents or companies legally established in Guatemala.
- Present Personal Identification Document (DPI) for individuals.
- Commercial patent and updated RTU for legal entities.
- Payment of the corresponding annual fee according to the extension (.com.gt, .net.gt, .org.gt, etc.).
International
For applicants outside the Guatemalan territory.
- Copy of trademark registration or company constitution in the country of origin.
- Designation of a local technical or administrative contact (optional but recommended).
- Payment through international credit cards or bank transfer.
Specific Documentation by Extension
.edu.gt
Exclusive for educational institutions. Requires resolution from the Ministry of Education or the Higher Private Education Council.
.gob.gt
Reserved for Guatemalan Government institutions. Requires an official letter signed by the highest authority of the entity.
.mil.gt
Exclusive for the Guatemalan Army. Requires explicit authorization from the Ministry of National Defense.

Verify Status
Confirm the expiration date in your control panel or via WHOIS.
Validate Contacts
Ensure the administrative contact email is active to receive the payment link.
Select Period
You can renew from 1 to 5 years depending on your preference.
Payment Details
We accept the following methods for national and international renewals:
- Credit or Debit Card (Visa/Mastercard)
- Bank Transfer (National system banks)
- Over-the-counter Deposit
* International payments may be subject to additional bank commissions.
General Reminder
Data changes can only be requested by the current holder or administrative contact. The domain must be in an 'Active' state to perform any technical or administrative modification.
Contact and server information
Administrative Contact
Is the legal responsible and who receives renewal notifications. Requires:
- Full name or Business Name
- Valid email
- Physical address in Guatemala (for nationals)
Name Servers (DNS)
To point your domain to a hosting, you must provide:
- Hostname (e.g. ns1.provider.com)
- IP Address (optional, required for Glue Records)
Domain name ownership
Company name change
Applies when the holding entity changes its business name but maintains the same tax identification number (NIT).
REQUIREMENT: Modification act of society before the Mercantile Registry.
Domain name assignment
Transfer of domain ownership to a completely different entity or person.
REQUIREMENT: Assignment form authenticated by a Guatemalan Notary.
